It's Millar Time!

In his editorial for issue #1 of CLiNT, Mark Millar talks about heralding a new dawn in UK comics.

It’s been a long time since anyone launched a boys comic in this country. I know you’ve been looking for us when you’re scanning the shelves, and here we are to finally fill the void between NUTS ABOUT SQUIRRELS and KITE-FLYERS MONTHLY.

Grandpa had The Eagle, Dad had 2000AD and now you’ve got CLiNT, you lucky people. Our gorgeous cover features Mister Frankie Boyle and you can check out his Rex Royd strip on page 53. Sir Jonathan Ross tackles vampires in Turf (which is brilliant) on page 19, and my own humble efforts can be found in Kick-Ass 2 (p7) and Nemesis (p68). Kick-Ass 2 is the exclusive sequel to our little hit movie from earlier in the year. Please don’t tell me you watched it on pirate.

We’re also chocker with features, competitions, interviews and other stuff to make you part with your hard-earned cash. Thanks to Jimmy Carr, Chris Mintz-Plasse, and our anonymous celebrity dope-head for sharing his secret diary column, starting this issue. I think this mag is going to be massive and maybe change the world in some way, possibly even slightly for the better. I also think it’s going to be worth millions on ebay, perhaps as soon as early next year. So stop investing in that silly pension scheme and start buying multiple copies of CLiNT. It’s time you started thinking more seriously about the future.

Kids have been crying out for a monthly like CLiNT. I sincerely believe it’s why there’s been so much crime lately.

Welcome to the next big thing.

Mark Millar, Editor
